SCHOOL COUNCIL to SCHOOL COUNCIL SHARING Lisgar School Council invites you to a special webinar on Social-Emotional Skills & Your Child: Supporting Success through Relationships featuring Dr. David Tranter as the guest speaker on Tuesday, May 31, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Please register for the free https://webinars.nelson.com/nelson-professional-learning/Social-Emotional-Skills-Your-Child-Supporting-Success-through-Relationships. Also, note that the webinar will include a Q & A session and you can submit your questions in advance of the webinar on this registration form. This webinar is a follow up on the international OECD Study on Social and Emotional Skills in which Ottawa students participated. These skills are important for academic success, future education and occupational outcomes as well as student well-being. Dr. Tranter will discuss the study results, the implications for the post-COVID learning environment and offer tactical tips for parents. Also, note that the webinar will include a Q & A session and you can submit your questions in advance of the webinar on this registration form.Dr. Tranter is Associate Professor at Lakehead University and Scientific Director at the Centre for Relationship-Based Education and the author of The Third Path focusing on student- educator relationships, one of the take-aways from the OECD study.
